Store-Cote RP6 Rust Preventative protects stored steel forms from rusting. It also acts as a release agent. No dusting on the concrete surface and no need to buy special sprayers.Updated May 2007.

3. PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Basic Use: Store-Cote RP6 Rust Preventative is applied to steel equipment and forms to protect them from rusting. It:

Applies with same equipment used for release agents
Is a heavy liquid and stays "wet" -- does not harden or dry
Can stay on form, complete removal for form reuse, not necessary
Reduces skin rashes to a minimum
Has a very low odor
Has no flammable solvents
Provides protection for about 6 months
Is not harmful to painted surfaces
Can also work as a release agent
Will also help preserve plywood forms

Limitations: Overspray on SBR or natural rubber should be removed within hours. Commonly available degreasers will remove overspray.

Light rusting may occur on sandblasted steel.

Ground Shipping in the USA: Containers holding 275 gallons or 55 gallons or 5 gallons or less (regardless of quantity) are not federally regulated and shipping product in the Cresset package does not require following hazardous shipping requirements.

5. APPLICATION
Basic Use: Which type of rust preventative is best for your application....drying type coating (paint), wax types or liquids? Though the drying and wax types can virtually eliminate rust for years they are expensive to remove before reuse of the equipment.

Liquid Store-Cote RP6 is sprayable with your existing spray equipment and it does not have to be removed before reusing the forms.

Liquid Store-Cote RP6 gives excellent protection for several months, especially when applied to dry, clean steel. (See "How Store-Cote RP6 Rust Preventative Works".)

Preparatory Work: Remove any build-up from steel forms or equipment. Store-Cote RP6 is typically applied with a sprayer--though brush, mop or even dipping is effective.

Methods: Apply to dry, clean steel forms or equipment by any convenient method. Just be sure the equipment is completely wetted by Store-Cote RP6. Overapplication promotes better protection.

If spots of rust should occur during storage, just re-apply Store-Cote RP6 over affected area.

Sprayer Comments: Use same sprayer as used to apply release agents. No special steps, other than cleaning out the sprayer before and after use, need to be considered before using Store-Cote RP6.

Putting Forms Back into Use: When forms are needed again, just wipe off any accumulated dust or debris and spray with a Crete-Lease Release Agent.

Forms need only to be wiped off--cleaning solvents and degreasers are not required. Scraping is not needed.

Storage: Factory sealed containers will keep up to 2 years at temperatures from -20°F to 140°F (-30°C to 60°C). As a class 3B liquid, Section 1910.106 of OSHA Standards does not apply for storage purposes.

Precautions: Keep out of reach of children. Avoid prolonged contact with the skin. Use with adequate ventilation. See Material Safety Data Sheet for additional information.

6. AVAILABILITY AND COST
Availability: Store-Cote RP6 is available in 1 and 5 gallon containers; orange and white striped 55 gallon drums and 275 gallon MegaPaks. Contact Cresset Chemical Company for your nearest distributor.

Cost: The cost on hard, smooth surfaces is about $0.01 per square foot (January 2007).

7. LIMITED WARRANTY
Cresset Chemical Company warrants the product against defects in materials for a period of 1 year from purchase. If Cresset receives notice of such defects during the warranty period, Cresset at its option will either replace the product or refund the purchase price. THE WARRANTY SET FORTH ABOVE IS EXCLUSIVE AND NO OTHER WARRANTY, WHETHER WRITTEN OR ORAL, IS EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED. CRESSET SPECIFICALLY DISCLAIMS THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. THE REMEDIES PROVIDED HEREIN ARE BUYER'S SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDIES. IN NO EVENT SHALL CRESSET CHEMICAL COMPANY BE LIABLE FOR DIRECT, INDIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES (INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFIT) WHETHER BASED ON CONTRACT, TORT OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY.
