Super-Trete 115 Matte Sealer is a non-glossy, water based sealer for coating concrete. It maintains a natural look and makes the surface appear more uniform. It meets all state and federal VOC regulations.Updated May 2007.

3. PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Basic Use: Super-Trete 115 Matte Sealer is a solventless, acrylic, water based sealing compound. Use it for sealing and dustproofing interior or exterior concrete floors and walls. Super-Trete 115 Matte Sealer hardens to a matte finished, clear coating. It is non-yellowing. It is compatible with a wide range of tile adhesives and paint. It improves abrasion resistance of concrete. While applying, Super-Trete 115 turns white...so you can see where it has been applied. The color disappears in a couple of hours.

On fresh concrete, Super-Trete 115 Matte Sealer restricts evaporative loss of water to help treated surfaces achieve maximum hardness. It wets fresh concrete better than solvent based curing compounds.

On aged concrete, Super-Trete 115 Matte Sealer seals, dustproofs and helps in protection from staining, abrasion and yellowing. Promotes more uniform appearance on new concrete, e.g., beams, steps, ornamental products, hard landscape products, exposed aggregate, etc.

As a sealer it:

Super-Trete 115 helps:

Prevent concrete dusting
Prevent liquids from soaking into the concrete
Promote more uniform application of paint
Provide for easier cleaning
Prevent carbon dioxide concrete reaction

Limitations: Do not apply over puddles on the surface of the concrete. Do not use if temperature drops below 50° F. Protect from freezing.

Ground Shipping in the USA: Containers holding 275 gallons or 55 gallons or 5 gallons or less (regardless of quantity) are not federally regulated and shipping product in the Cresset package does not require following hazardous shipping requirements.

Applicable Standards: Exceeds California SCAQMD VOC rule 1113-90.

VOC means "Volatile Organic Compounds". For curing and sealing materials California requires a VOC of 350 grams per liter or less. (The smaller the number, the safer you are.) Super-Trete 115 Matte Sealer has 125 grams per liter of VOCs, which greatly exceeds these stringent regulations.

Composition: A proprietary emulsion of acrylic polymers in water. Contains no waxes, no chlorinated hydrocarbons...no carcinogens.

5. APPLICATION
As a sealer (on new or old concrete): Prepare hardened concrete by removing any dirt, oil and other soils from the surface. Settling of ingredients occurs. MIX WELL BEFORE USING. MOISTEN DRY CONCRETE WITH WATER (no standing puddles, however). Apply at a rate of 200 to 400 square feet per gallon.

Notes to Specifier/Applicator: 1. Moisten concrete with water before applying. Dry concrete absorbs water from the "wet" Cure & Seal hindering proper film formation. Using Super-Trete on dry concrete may result in a film with a white, flaky or dusty appearance as well as poor adhesion to the concrete’s surface.

2. Hot, windy conditions may cause "checking" of the acrylic film. Windy, drying conditions may prematurely harden the very top surface, trapping other ingredients underneath. Proper hardening allows for slow removal of all materials throughout the film’s thickness.

3. Avoid extra thick applications. Apply several thin coats rather than one thick coat. On thick coats the surface may harden first, trapping other materials in the film. This results in a white appearance. Frequently, the white disappears in a few weeks.

4. After 4 or more coats surface may appear glossy.

6. AVAILABILITY AND COST
Availability: Super-Trete 115 is available in 1 and 5 gallon containers; recyclable orange and white plastic 55 gallon drums and 275 gallon MegaPaks. Contact Cresset Chemical Company for your nearest distributor.

Cost: The cost on hard, smooth surfaces is about $0.04 per square foot (January 2007).

7. LIMITED WARRANTY
Cresset Chemical Company warrants the product against defects in materials for a period of 8 months from purchase. If Cresset receives notice of such defects during the warranty period, Cresset at its option will either replace the product or refund the purchase price. THE WARRANTY SET FORTH ABOVE IS EXCLUSIVE AND NO OTHER WARRANTY, WHETHER WRITTEN OR ORAL, IS EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED. CRESSET SPECIFICALLY DISCLAIMS THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. THE REMEDIES PROVIDED HEREIN ARE BUYER'S SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDIES. IN NO EVENT SHALL CRESSET CHEMICAL COMPANY BE LIABLE FOR DIRECT, INDIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES (INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFIT) WHETHER BASED ON CONTRACT, TORT OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY.

8. LIMITED WARRANTY
